The Laboratory is headed by Technical Manager Hennie Jooste (Micro-Biologist), assisted by senior creative savoury flavourist Joey Moyana. Together with their team of 3 food Technologists they research, develop, and create the successful flavours that Cranbrook is known for. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to assist the team to apply their knowledge to the fullest. Keeping up to date with the latest technology and materials is one of the most important things in a laboratory where new products are created and tested every day. Hennie and his team regularly attend training courses and conferences to make sure that their "creations" are always at the cutting edge of innovation. Quality control is done from the incoming raw materials- to check that they comply with the suppliers specifications, ensuring that all parameters are met in the process phase, and in comparison to specifications and quality assurance on the finished product. |
